Tech info:On a Mac new commands had to be written for the flash software to control the appearence on screen. This takes up more CPU time essentially all G3 based Macs will not run flash 8 well, some older G4 based Macs which are using ATI Rage 128 cards are also limited in that they and will not support the OpenGL rendering mode.

* Note: There is currently a bug (https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=298961) in Firefox for the Mac that causes very flash poor performance. The bug has been logged and is being addressed by the Mozilla team. Until then we recommend that Mac users use Safari for browsing Flash content on the Mac.
